The largest bank of India and also the largest financial services company in India is State Bank of India It is commonly known as SBI. Its head quarter is at Mumbai. SBI was setup on 1st July 1955. It comprises of 16000 branches including 14 local head offices, 57 zonal offices and 130 overseas branches. Around 230000 employees are attached with this bank. It offers various products like credit cards, consumer banking, corporate banking, finance and insurance, investment banking, private banking, wealth management and many more services. It has 5 associate banks namely-State Bank of Travancore, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Hyderabad and State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur.
State Bank of India invites applications from Indian Nationals for the post of Circle Defence Banking Advisor. Only candidates with the required qualification and experience can apply and that too latest by 24th March 2012. All the posts are on contract basis. Selection will be based on the performance of candidates in an interview. Details about the vacancies are given below.

Eligibility: Candidates interested in this positions should not be more than 60 years of age and should be an Army Officer retired in the rank of Brigadier or Major General. Selected candidates will get placement in any of the circles of the Bank in Chandigarh, Bhopal, Hyderabad, Chennai and North Eastern.
CTC: The basic pay for this post will be Rs.80000/- per month with CTC of Rs. 20 lakhs.
